Title that states 'about'
This website is an art project for me. I’ve been making websites for many years now, mostly professionally, and thought it was a great art form to experiment with. Part of this website is dedicated to myself and personal interests. You can find these things via the menu. The other part of this website is its own art project, please enjoy exploring it.
I coded this website from scratch, with no outside tools. It’s hosted by Neocities. I'm working on connecting the code here to Github, but in the meantime all pages are inspectable. There's no need to credit if you copy code. None of the assets are my own, unless otherwise stated (I followed usage guides). If you have found I have taken something of yours and did not follow your guidelines, please let me know and I will either remove it or credit you when I create such a page. If you find a bug please let me know.
You can call me Zekkie. I prefer no pronouns, but any neopronouns or mirror pronouns are alright. I recently graduated with a BA in Computer Science and Philosophy. I greatly enjoy studying anarchism, Eastern philosophy, and avant-garde art. I’m fluent in English and am studying to pass the Japanese N2 test. I currently live in Japan, and am avoiding all responsibilities the best I can. Besides making websites, obscure research, and learning Japanese my hobbies include music theory, 90s Harajuku fashion, and building/repairing old technology. I’m best reached via Discord (ZekkieA).
One day I hope to pursue a PhD in either Comparative Literature or East Asian Studies to continue my research. I enjoy researching the art around the time of the Great Kanto earthquake in Japan, as it made avant-garde, anarchist, and Buddhist groups alike flourish and exchange ideas. A great amount of this work is, naturally, untranslated. I’ve begun doing so myself. This work is important to me because it shows how arbitrary labels are, and that these ideas of radical liberation transcend borders and have the power to connect idealistic individuals across the world. Connection creates power in numbers, eventually enough power to enact real change. Until then, I must keep working to disseminate this information in the little ways I can.
While in school I also do a bit of contract work, mainly websites and tutoring. If you'd like to inquire please view my CV and contact me through the methods presented there.
